MAJA : AS AN ARTIST

Did you grow up in an environment conductive to Art?

ndeed, I grew up in an artistic family. My dad and my sister are musicians, so music and dance have always been at home and I always spent my free time in the theater.

What has been the revelation that inspired you the artistic vocation?

The artistic life is something mysterious, and I’ve always loved it. I see the audience feelings, I change them in some way, I hope. I knew I couldn’t work in an office in my life.

Have you received a specific artistic training?

Yes, I’ve been graduated after 9 years at Ballet School in Łódź, Poland.

Where do you get your inspiration?

I’m particularly fond of the 20’s and 30’s style. A part of my inspiration comes from the life and music in those days; this is why I have worked in cabarets for many years.

Is there any particular artist that inspires you?

There is one: Bob Fosse. One of the most famous American director, choreographer and dancer of US musicals.

What is your most significant artistic experience?

I've had the chance to work with educated and interesting people, with great artistic achievements, who knew how to work with others. Each of those artists was a significant experience.

How do the MUGLER FOLLIES fit in your artistic career?

I’m doing what I love the most through the Mugler Follies. This is more important than to consider it as fitting my artistic career.

MAJA : AS AN INDIVIDUAL

Where are you from?

I’m from Łódź, Poland.

Do you have any distinctive sign?

I guess I’m different from the others because I have a twin sister. We have a double power. There are no such special sisters as we are.

What is your favorite place?

I would say… Paris !

What would be the best compliment you can receive?

I would simply say: "what you do, you do it very well".

Do you have a favorite motto?

"Per aspera ad astra" which means" To the stars through difficulties" – Lucius Annaeus Seneca
